Pipe Fitting

Pipe fittings are components used to connect, control, or adapt the flow of pipes in a plumbing or piping system. These fittings come in various shapes, sizes, and materials, and they serve different purposes depending on the requirements of the system.

Coupling: A coupling is a short fitting used to connect two pipes of the same diameter in a straight line. It is usually threaded or socketed for easy installation.

Elbow: Elbows are fittings that allow for a change in direction in a piping system. They are available in various angles, such as 45 degrees, 90 degrees, and 180 degrees.

Tee: Tees are fittings shaped like the letter "T" that allow the flow to be diverted in two directions at a 90-degree angle. They are commonly used to create branch lines in plumbing systems.

Reducer: Reducers are used to connect pipes of different sizes. They come in two types: concentric reducers, where the centre lines of the two pipes are aligned, and eccentric reducers, where the centre lines are at different heights.

Union: Unions are fittings that allow for easy disassembly of pipes for maintenance or repairs. They consist of three parts: a female end, a male end, and a nut that joins them together.

Cap: Caps are used to seal the end of a pipe. They are often threaded or welded onto the pipe to provide a secure closure.

Flange: Flanges are flat, circular fittings with evenly spaced bolt holes. They are used to connect pipes, valves, and other equipment to form a piping system and facilitate easy assembly and disassembly.

Cross: Cross fittings are similar to tees but have a fourth outlet perpendicular to the other three. They are used in applications where four pipes need to be connected.

Plug: Plugs are similar to caps but are designed to fit inside the end of a pipe rather than over it. They are commonly used to close off the end of a pipe temporarily.

Adapter: Adapters are fittings used to connect pipes of different materials or sizes. They may have threaded, soldered, or glued connections, depending on the application
